About Kathy

To describe Kathy in one word would be “PASSIONATE”!  Passionate for women to fall in love with Jesus and for them to be life-changers in their families, their churches and in their communities.  She loves the verse – “Nothing is too hard for God!”

The direction of Kathy’s life changed at a Ladies’ Retreat during a 45-minute quiet time where she was alone with her God.  John 3:16 and Revelation 3:15-16 came alive in Kathy’s life through the power of God’s Holy Spirit.  She began to realize that her priority system was all out of order.  Would what she had been living for be worth anything?  Would her life count for anything beyond the grave?

God moved quickly in her life after that retreat.  Since 1995, God has taken Kathy on quite a journey - leading a Small Group Bible Study, joined a ladies’ prayer group, founded the “Takin’ It To The Streets” ministry at her church, began a Lunch Ministry in her city to impact the lives of women for Jesus, founded the Worldwide Mom’s Day of Prayer movement, became an Area Coordinator for the Moms In Touch prayer ministry, leading her community in a Back-To-School prayer time each August, became a Christian speaker in 1996, also is an inspirational speaker for secular settings, and is a Bible teacher for the F.R.O.G.ettes – which means “Fully Relying On God Ever Trusting the Eternal Savior.” In 2000, she was chosen Mother of the Year in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Kathy is married to the love of her life, Rod Coleman, and has been for 32 years.  Their home is in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  They have two children – Rob, their son, who is married to Jessica and Elizabeth, their daughter, who is married to Justin.  They also have 3 grand dogs and 2 grand cats.

Kathy has published articles in the “Women Alive” magazine and the “Spirit” magazine.  In Cheri Fuller’s book, “Loving Your Spouse Through Prayer” – Kathy and Rod’s life-changing story is told.  PRAY magazine has featured the Worldwide Mom’s Day of Prayer movement in their magazine and the MDOP has been mentioned in “Heart’s Cry” by Jennifer Kennedy Dean and the “40-Day Journey to the Heart of God” by Tammy Price.

One Women’s Ministry Director shared about Kathy, “Kathy’s sense of humor has you laughing while her tender heart will bring you to tears the next moment.  You will be convicted, but most importantly encouraged to be the woman God has called you to be.  God has given Kathy a PASSION for Him and that PASSION is a blessing to all who hear her.”

One lady commented – “I cannot say enough about how blessed I was when Kathy spoke.  I was blown away by Kathy and was amazed by her strength and testimonies.  I wish all the women I knew had been there.”

Kathy quickly gives GOD ALL THE GLORY! Her life verse is Phil. 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
